Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is "Assessment-Based" Pest Management?

At its core, Assessment Based Pest Management is about learning the scope of the pest issue and finding the least ecologically impactful solutions to eliminate the problem. It seems intuitive that the size of the pest problem will impact the type of treatment done, but this is a relatively new concept.

  • Will Your Products Harm Pollinators?

Pollinators, such as honey bees and butterflies have an incredibly delicate system. Misused, most pest control products can hurt these populations. When it is necessary to use these products, we use the least impactful ones available and take great care in their proper application so they will not interact with pollinators.

  • Do You Offer Free Inspections?

Most home and business inspections are free! We happily travel to your location and find the sources of your issues. We then give consultation on what we can do to help.

The exception to this is the State Regulated Wood Destroying Organism Inspection. This inspection does come with an associated cost.

  • How Often Do You Need to Come Out?

How often a service needs to be performed is based on the level of activity, location of the property, and many other issues. If a maintenance plan is needed, we will recommend a schedule that will be both effective and affordable. In the end, you will have the final say in the schedule.

Some of our products are natural botanical extracts that degrade more quickly, especially in sunlight and water. That means their residual presence (how long they last after we visit) is much shorter than some conventional products used. To compensate for this, our All-Natural Service requires more frequent visits for reapplication.

  • Do I need to be home when the pest technician shows up?

We want to meet with you on the initial inspection and treatment. We want to discuss any issues you might have and how we can partner up to solve them.

After we kick the pests out, you do not need to be home for exterior, preventative treatments. Any time an interior treatment is needed, though, someone should be home.
